One important activity of Martha Tilaar Innovation Center is the development of products with natural ingredients. It starts by growing medicinal plants in or Cikarang garden, then researching their efficacy and effective doses, followed by extraction in phytochemistry laboratory for use in many Martha Tilaar products. These natural products are then further tested under stringent international research protocols to ensure their safety and efficacy for humans.

The production of cosmetics and herbal products is conducted according to Good Manufacturing Practices for Cosmetics and Traditional Herbal Products. Quality Management ISO 9000 and enviromental management ISO 14000 are implemented to achieve global standard products.
